Last night I had the pleasure of witnessing Roosevelt Collection unveil their new garden promenade.
Since the development was built in 2009 South Loop residents have been waiting patiently for it to expand the public spaces to more than just the movie theater. While we are still waiting for more retail to open we can now enjoy the outdoor space.
Last night’s program culminated with the lighting of the fountain.
The promenade has activities for all ages. It features two fire pits as well as a life-size chess board and a playground.
The garden feature feels expansive and welcoming. I’m eager to see the space being enjoyed by neighbors coming and going from the theater and soon enough from the shopping and restaurants we anticipate for the complex.
