Webster defines Community as:

An interacting population of various kinds of individuals in a common location.

The South Loop is lucky to have multiple groups of not-for-profit neighborhood organizations dedicated to building the community and offering programs to bring neighbors together.

Every other month the Greater South Loop Association (GSLA) hosts an event called Neighbor’s Night Out. They work with a local business to offer a fun evening of mingling and sometimes learning.

The next Neighbor’s Night Out will be on Thursday, June 21, 6:00–9:00p.m. The GSLA is working with Brasserie by LM, the new French bistro in the Essex Inn, to create a cocktail party with passed hors d’oeuvres.

If you haven’t had a chance to try Brasserie this party will be a great opportunity to sample some of their dishes as well as make new friends with neighbors.
