Remember the day before graduating from college? The feelings of excitement and pure freedom? Manifest, Columbia College’s Urban Arts Festival exudes just that. Yesterday was the 10th annual celebration and the students projects were fantastic! With more than 120 academic programs there was entertainment for everyone. Live music played from about 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Throughout the day the buildings were open showcasing such arts as photography, fashion, comedy, silk screening demonstrations, and even a film staring Terri’s son! The entertainment is free for all and the student’s projects are polished to perfection. If you haven’t enjoyed Columbia’s annual celebration keep an eye out for it next year. This is a one of a kind treat that only the South Loop offers.
